About The RoleAs the Director of Communications, you'll be at the heart of shaping and enhancing our brand's public image. Your role involves crafting strategic communication plans, working across teams, and telling our story in a compelling way. You'll be instrumental in highlighting our successes, keeping us ahead of industry trends, and managing media relationships to elevate our brand's presence.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies to boost brand visibility with media, industry stakeholders, and potential clients.
Create and deliver high-quality messaging across various platforms, including press releases, website content, social media, and marketing materials.
Serve as the main contact for media relations, building and leveraging relationships to secure positive coverage.
Collaborate with internal teams to identify key messages and create engaging narratives that showcase our strengths and accomplishments.
Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
Lead crisis communication efforts, developing strategies to manage and resolve any potential issues or reputation challenges.
Work with and manage public relations agencies.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
7-10 years of experience in communications with a proven track record of impactful work.
Experience In Enterprise Technology Is Required.Background in logistics and supply chain is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver results.
Exceptional writing skills with a focus on detail and storytelling.
Strong understanding of media dynamics and relationships within the logistics/supply chain sector.
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new topics and industries.
Creative and strategic thinker with a talent for connecting ideas and crafting compelling stories.
Previous agency or reporting experience is a plus.
Location
While we are a remote-first company, we prefer candidates to be based in Austin, TX.

Compensation$145K - $175K, plus equity.
