Job SummaryThis is a remote position based in a specific region, with travel required. The Director of Sales will direct and oversee the organization's sales policies, objectives, and initiatives. You will develop and implement district-level sales strategies, drive revenue growth, and achieve financial objectives.
Education and Experience
BS/BA degree or 7 years of related experience.
Proven success in direct sales and sales management (experience with Value-Added Resellers preferred).
Strong business, sales, and financial acumen.
Experience interacting with senior-level executives (VP level or higher).
Deep understanding of the technology marketplace, OEM solutions, and VAR channel programs.
Knowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesStrong track record in sales and sales management.
Proficient in forecasting and achieving quarterly/annual results.
Excellent recruiting skills and extensive relationships in the assigned market.
Experience in KPI management.
Ability to build and grow a territory and existing accounts (cross-sell and upsell).
Skilled at understanding complex business problems and identifying key issues for selling technology solutions.
Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills (both verbal and written).
Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesEstablish and implement initiatives, processes, tools, and structure to support sales operations.
Oversee goal setting for departmental and group levels, using data and technology to measure and enhance performance.
Implement methods to analyze and monitor the industry, business environment, clients, and competitors to expand business.
Use market and customer insights to collaborate with internal stakeholders on new solutions or products.
Build effective sales and support teams through recruiting, mentoring, and development programs.
Participate in and negotiate strategic high-value sales.
Manage departmental budget and create strategies to meet strategic sales goals.
Focus on customer acquisition, retention, and growth with mid to senior executive contacts through relationship building, prospecting, and consultative selling skills.
Expand current business by increasing sales of a full range of products and services.
Support local and national marketing initiatives.
Assess client business issues and performance gaps, recommending appropriate training and development solutions.
Achieve individual and team growth goals by collaborating with team members.
Meet all quota and activity levels.
Demonstrate competency in selling, market understanding, buying processes, account development, sales relationships, consultative selling, and performance analysis.
Strong presentation and communication skills (both written and verbal).
Familiarity with our concepts, practices, and procedures.
