As a rapidly growing team, we're constantly innovating to make a difference in the world. Job DescriptionWe're currently seeking a talented individual to join us as the Head of Social. This senior management role reports directly to the SVP of Growth. This is a fully remote position, with team members predominantly working EST hours. Remote candidates based in the U.S. are encouraged to apply, provided they can align with EST business hours. As The Head Of Social, You'll Be Responsible ForDriving high performance and growth across all of our state social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, to achieve our ambitious growth targets. Utilizing data and insights to develop content and publishing strategies that enhance growth and engagement across our core social platforms. Staying informed about and implementing new and emerging social and content trends, platform policies, and algorithmic changes, while managing relationships with social platform account teams. Managing a team of 11 social media managers across our state newsrooms. Collaborating closely with community and political editorial leadership to inform content trends and report on performance and best practices. Maintaining editorial oversight for curated and produced content across state properties. Overseeing the publishing of all digital content across our social media channels. Running regular meetings with teams and stakeholders. Implementing social aspects of marketing and grassroots fundraising initiatives. Developing and overseeing online community moderation workflows and best practices. Managing relationships with social platform account managers in coordination with the growth department. Ideal Candidate QualificationsWe're looking for someone who possesses: A self-starting attitude with a keen understanding of social media trends, audience behavior, and engagement strategies. Demonstrated experience in developing and deploying editorial content strategies across platforms and formats. Proactive and solutions-oriented mindset, with the ability to pivot quickly to capitalize on opportunities. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. The ability to analyze data and audience insights to inform content development strategies. Experience in managing multiple social media brands across various platforms.
