Full Job DescriptionAbout the Role:
We are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Program Manager to join our marketing team. In this role, you will partner closely with the Director of Marketing to lead our content-driven marketing initiatives and support our growth in membership, conference attendance, and product sales. Your responsibilities will include developing and executing marketing strategies, writing content, and overseeing project management to boost brand awareness, generate leads, and drive revenue. This position reports directly to the Director of Marketing.
Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesContent & Campaign Management:
Collaborate with the Director of Marketing to develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that align with organizational goals and target audiences.
Create high-quality, engaging content across various formats and manage distribution plans to reach our audience via social media, email marketing, influencer outreach, and more.
Plan, execute, and monitor marketing campaigns to promote product launches, events, membership drives, and other initiatives while advancing our mission.
Maintain a marketing calendar to ensure consistent publishing schedules and marketing efforts across all channels.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to plan and prioritize content creation.
Engage with our audience by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries across various platforms.
Encourage user-generated content and community engagement.
Manage and present ROI reports.
Content, Strategy, & AnalyticsProduce compelling content for press releases, emails, social media, and other channels.
Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive insights, making strategic recommendations to the Director of Marketing.
Optimize content for search engines to improve visibility and drive organic traffic to our website, including conducting keyword research and implementing on-page SEO best practices.
Track and analyze campaign performance metrics to optimize future campaigns.
Monitor and analyze content performance metrics, such as website traffic, engagement, conversion rates, and social media metrics.
Use data insights to identify opportunities for improvement and make data-driven decisions.
Financial ResponsibilitiesBe familiar with the marketing budget and manage it in consultation with the Director of Marketing.
Assist the Director in developing accurate projections, monitoring income and expenses, and maintaining detailed financial records.
Work with the Finance team to ensure proper invoicing and crediting.
Contribute to developing innovative approaches to marketing to ensure financial success.
Support a strong value proposition for marketing initiatives.
Supervisory ResponsibilitiesOversee the schedule, deliverables, and timelines of multiple marketing projects across various departments.
Maintain a high-performing team in collaboration with the supervisor, including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and resolving problems.
Communicate short and long-term goals as well as shared vision effectively to direct reports.
Develop direct reports through personal development plans and cross-functional assignments, delegating projects and responsibilities to achieve goals.
Provide action-oriented guidance and support.
QualificationsEducation & Experience:
10 years of experience in marketing.
Expert knowledge of content marketing, Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator), PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word.
Strong understanding of SEO principles and content optimization techniques.
Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and social media management tools.
Experience with analytics platforms such as Google Analytics and SEMrush.
Excellent writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail.
Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas and concepts.
Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
Preferred ExperienceExperience in an association or non-profit setting.
At least 5 years of supervisory experience.
TravelTravel may be required for this position.
Residency RequirementTo maximize remote work opportunities, candidates must live in, or be willing to relocate to, Washington, DC, Maryland, or Virginia.
SalaryThe pay for this position ranges from $75k to $80k based on experience.
