We are seeking a Regional Sales Manager to join our dynamic team. As part of our mission to deliver exceptional wire and cable solutions, you will be responsible for cultivating relationships, driving sales, and expanding market presence within the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions of the United States.
Job DescriptionJob Title: Regional Sales Manager
Reports to: Vice President, Utility Division
Department: AWG Sales Team
Commercial (Sales, Marketing)Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
Develop and execute sales strategies to secure new business opportunities.
Cultivate relationships with key decision-makers in customer organizations.
Participate in project bidding processes and provide necessary insights.
Maintain strong connections with existing clients through our CRM system.
Travel within the region to engage with customers and attend meetings.
Conduct informative sales presentations and training sessions.
TechnicalOffer technical expertise and support to customers seeking AWG products.
Attend pre-bid meetings, visit job sites, and customer test centers when required.
Address product complaints promptly and ensure satisfactory resolutions.
Demonstrate a general understanding of construction methods related to wire and cable.
BusinessInterpret contract language and ensure compliance.
Provide market intelligence on competition, pricing, and margins.
Contribute to the development of annual Utility Sales Plans.
Manage expenses effectively and align with company goals.
Utilize Microsoft D365 for quoting and order processing.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software for reporting and presentations.
Supervision ReceivedModerate supervision from the Vice President, Utility Division.
Supervision ExercisedManagement of inside sales personnel and independent manufacturers' rep agencies.
Qualifications & SkillsEngineering degree or equivalent experience preferred.
3 years of sales or marketing experience in the cable industry or electrical engineering.
Experience selling to electrical utilities is advantageous.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in MS Office applications and Microsoft D365.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Excellent listening skills and self-motivation.
Physical RequirementsAbility to work at a desk for extended periods.
Capability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Approximately 50% travel within the assigned territory.
CompensationCompetitive compensation based on experience.
