Get It Recruit - Professional Services is Hiring a Legal Support Specialist - Public Interest Law Near Arlington, TX

Join a dedicated team at a non-profit public interest law firm focused on providing free civil legal services to low-income individuals in North and West Texas. We are looking for a proactive and motivated individual to support our legal team in our Fort Worth office.
Position OverviewThis role offers flexibility with a hybrid remote setup and involves administrative and clerical assistance to our staff attorneys, contributing to important legal work while promoting a healthy work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide general secretarial support including the preparation of legal documents, correspondence, and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with legal regulations and firm policies, upholding confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Manage electronic case management systems, ensuring updates are accurate and timely.
  • Coordinate the filing and e-filing of legal documents, schedule hearings, and interact with court personnel, clients, and opposing parties.
  • Conduct client interviews and offer translation and interpretation services as required.
  • Assist with office administrative tasks such as answering phones, handling mail distribution, and maintaining legal files.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Fluency in Spanish (verbal and written).
  • Prior experience in a law office, particularly in secretarial support, is preferred.
  • Familiarity with family law procedures is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills with the capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
  • Ability to work independently with sound judgment and discretion.
Salary And Benefits
  • Starting salary of $33,000 per year, with potential for a higher rate based on experience.
