Role OverviewAs a Multifamily Underwriting - Advisor, you'll play a pivotal role in assessing and managing potential risks in multifamily loans. You'll collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organization, contributing to governance activities and ensuring our underwriting processes adhere to industry standards. This role offers a unique blend of strategic oversight and hands-on transaction review, where your insights will directly impact our business decisions.
Key ResponsibilitiesGovernance Activities: Develop and maintain procedures to enhance our underwriting standards. Lead internal audits and collaborate across teams to evaluate risks associated with new transactions and programs. Serve as a subject matter expert on multifamily credit underwriting trends.
Transaction Review: Analyze risks and costs associated with lending decisions. Provide recommendations for process improvements and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicate findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders. Foster collaborative relationships to drive effective risk management strategies.
QualificationsMinimum Requirements:
6 years of related experience in multifamily loan structuring and risk assessment.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory compliance.
Strong analytical skills with experience in financial analysis and reporting.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree or equivalent experience.
Prior experience in governance, compliance, or regulatory roles.
Proven ability to manage projects and cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated skill in presenting complex information clearly and persuasively.
