Job OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Principal Specialist in Procurement to join our team remotely. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing both external and inter-organizational procurement processes. Your responsibilities will include supporting proposal efforts, conducting supplier analysis, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements throughout the procurement lifecycle.
What You Will Do
Prepare and issue requests for proposals (RFPs)
Analyze supplier quotes and pricing to make informed decisions
Source selection and management to optimize supply chain efficiency
Issue purchase orders compliant with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) guidelines
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely and compliant delivery of materials
Qualifications You NeedBachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain management
Familiarity with SAP or similar procurement software
Strong understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)
U.S. citizenship required for accessing sensitive information
Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
Experience in commodity or supplier management
Advanced degree in a related field
