Switch is Hiring a Front Desk & Event Coordinator Near Las Vegas, NV

General Purpose of the Position :
The Engagement Associate is the first point of contact for all guests, visitors, Switch clients and team members at Rob Roy's Innevation Center. This position is responsible for the front desk and communal area activities in addition to supporting the internal communications platform, project coordination and other needs of the Engagement and Branding Team.
The Engagement Associate will support the Senior Director of Engagement and VP of Engagement in all administrative capacities. This position reports to the Senior Director of Engagement.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position carries out no supervisory responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
  • Serves as front desk receptionist supporting event, meeting room and flex space scheduling
  • Attends regular team meetings to capture notes and action items
  • Ensures that the members of the team stay on track with projects and tasks by utilizing a project management platform to monitor progress and deadlines
  • Assists in the curation and drafting of content the company's internal communications platform
  • Maintains an inventory tracking system for all engagement supplies and assets
  • Tracks actual vs. budget expenses through monthly review of expenses with team
  • Prepares expense reports for cardholders which includes verifying G/L coding, department code, receipts, finalizing all documents to meet a timely close
  • Responds promptly and courteously to all telephone and email inquiries
  • Fulfills various requests and tasks in an appropriate and timely manner
  • Handles general office duties including inventory control, supply stocking, etc.
  • Assists with the planning and execution of all company events
  • Serves as the main on-site point of contact for Branding and Engagement needs
  • Serves as an enthusiastic ambassador for Switch and the Engagement team

Other Duties:
  • Perform other assignments (or duties) as required to support the Switch team.

Computer Equipment and Software :
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Experience in Asana or a project management tool a plus

Education and Experience :
Education:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree a plus (Business, Communications, Hospitality, or other related field)
Experience:
  • Administrative, front desk or customer service experience required
