Position OverviewWe are seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in clients of various ages. Your expertise will play a crucial role in helping individuals improve their communication abilities and achieve their personal and professional goals.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssessment & Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients' speech, language, and communication abilities. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
Treatment:Provide evidence-based therapy to address speech disorders, language delays, articulation issues, and other communication challenges. Utilize a range of therapeutic techniques and tools tailored to each client's needs.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of clients' progress, treatment plans, and therapeutic outcomes. Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely and compliant manner.
Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, educators, and family members to create a cohesive support network for clients. Provide guidance and training to caregivers and teachers as needed.
Education & Advocacy: Educate clients and their families about speech and language disorders, treatment options, and strategies to support communication development. Advocate for clients' needs within various settings.
Professional Development: Stay current with the latest research and advancements in speech therapy. Participate in continuing education opportunities and professional development activities.
QualificationsEducation: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Licensure/Certification: Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) and certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or equivalent.
Experience: Previous experience in a clinical or educational setting preferred. Experience with [specific populations, e.g., children, adults, neurogenic disorders] is a plus.
Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Proficient in using assessment tools and therapy equipment.
