Job Title: Services Technician II

Services Technician II Overview

Since Frontier technologies acts as a job shop, Service Technicians perform various tasks. We are looking for mechanically inclined, problem solvers to join our team. Common projects include:

• The Service Technician II must be a reliable person who can be depended upon to work on a regular basis and be on time to meet our production schedule.
• Must be available for mandatory overtime and weekends when customer needs arise.
• Read, interpret, and follow basic and advanced blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and other written work instructions or procedures to accurately work on equipment and products.
• Utilize a variety of handheld and power tools such as drills, grinders, tape measures, and gauges.
• Ability to convert standard measurements to metric measurements and vice versa with a calculator.
• Perform basic to advanced mechanical installations, maintenance operations, preventative maintenance and upgrades on wind energy and other industrial parts.
• Repair, replace, and inspect customer parts to meet customer expectations and job instructions.
• Prep and Sandblast, Zinc Spray, and Industrial paint parts and components to meet industrial standards.
• Must be able to maintain and troubleshoot on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems for wind turbine components, and expanding industries.
• Grinding, sanding, and hand-painting material parts for production.
• Perform quality checks to ensure the product meets quality standards and identify defects.
• Move and package material throughout the facility via forklifts, pallet jacks and overhead cranes.
• Professionally document inspection and repair reports
• Communicate with coworkers utilizing Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• Follow work instructions thoroughly and document step-by-step progress throughout the process.
• Train new service technicians via OJT, JSAs and policy and procedures.
• Available to travel to customer facilities and perform onsite maintenance, including identifying and solving customer problems.
• Other job duties as directed by Site Manager or Engineering Department.

Qualifications

• Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent
• Fluent in both written and spoken English
• Perform basic Math skills
• Passion for doing a job well
• A “self-motivated” team player
• Able to work effectively in South Alabama climate conditions
• Able to stand for long periods of time, crawl, squat, and climb without tiring easily
• Pass visual test
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds with reasonable accommodations
• Able to travel to customer sites
• Must be an insurable driver
• Must pass a background check and drug test
