Role Overview: As a Development Accountant at GG Homes, you will be responsible for managing the accounting and auditing functions for our commercial and multi-family building projects. This role primarily focuses on handling accounts payable for all development projects and managing all invoicing. It is ideal for someone who is highly detail-oriented, comfortable with complex financial tasks, and enjoys working independently to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
•Handle accounts payable for all development projects, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing.
•Manage all invoicing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contract terms.
•Conduct regular audits to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
•Prepare and maintain financial statements, reports, and budgets for development projects.
•Monitor project expenditures and ensure alignment with budgetary constraints.
•Implement and maintain accounting systems and processes to improve efficiency.
•Collaborate with project managers and other team members to provide financial insights and support.
•Ensure all financial activities comply with relevant regulations and standards.
•Provide detailed financial analysis and reports to stakeholders on project performance and financial status.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
•CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
•3 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on commercial or multi-family buildings and projects.
•Strong knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards, and financial reporting.
•Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
•Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
•High attention to detail and organizational skills.
•Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
