General Description:
Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, the Physical Therapy Assistant is responsible for treating patients who require physical therapy services. S/he uses physical treatment procedures to help improve mobility and relieve pain and disability caused by disease or injury. As a member of an interdisciplinary team, the physical therapy assistant provides treatment in both inpatient and outpatient settings, executing the goals given by the supervising physical therapist.
