Gilat Satellite Networks is Hiring an Embedded Software Engineer Near San Dimas, CA
Essential Functions of the Role:
- Develop firmware for RF Amplifiers
- Design and Implement State Machine on RTOS platform using C
- Implement device drivers using vendor evaluation kits
- Create an interactive GUI for external interface
- Perform System Verification and Troubleshooting of New Products
- Collaborate with Electrical/System Engineers to develop firmware requirements
- Implement multiple communication protocols (RS-232, RS-485, UART, I2C, SPI)
- Tune system performance and optimize existing state machines
- Knowledge of version control tools
- Support program design reviews and status meetings
- Bachelor or Master degree from an accredited course of study, in, computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering or equivalent qualification.
- 5 years of demonstrated applicable experience in embedded software development
- 5 years of experience designing and developing software using C/C
- Experience working in a highly collaborative environment with diverse stakeholder need
- Knowledge of KEIL MDK for development and debugging
- Proficient at Visual C for GUI Development
- Familiarity with JIRA or other issue tracking software
- Experience programming and testing high reliability, safety critical and fault tolerance systems
- Knowledge Cortex-M4 ARM processors development experience
- TCP/IP application development and embedded web development
- While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required typing skills.
- Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds
- Must be able to sit for an extended period of time
