MEDICAL BILLER

Do you have medical billing knowledge and want to expand your skills? Would you like to find a job that is stable within a great environment--even a family atmosphere? Would you like to enjoy coming to work everyday? We are a large OB/GYN office seeking a knowledgeable Medical Biller. We prefer 1 to 2 years of experience with knowledge of processing Medi-Cal, Medicare, and private health insurance claims. However, if you have front desk or referral experience, we are willing to train the right candidate who is excited to learn and grow in the medical billing industry. Experience with eClinicalworks or other EHR systems is a plus. OB/GYN experience is a definite plus -- but we believe we can teach the specialty if the candidate is open to learning--in fact, we believe we can teach you to be an expert in medical billing and collections.

Type: Full-time position M-F 8am - 5pm (40hrs per week)

Location: Lodi, CA

Essential Functions/Job duties include but not limited to:

· Create, prepare, and submit accurate claims in a timely fashion to various insurance companies either electronically or by paper.

· Prepare, review, and send out billing statements to patients.

· Post incoming payments from all sources to individual patient accounts.

· Handle a variety of phone calls, properly diverting them and/or take accurate and thorough messages.

· Identify and resolves patient billing inquiries and/or discrepancies.

· Understands medical terminology, including CPT/ICD10 Coding.

· Process Medi-Cal, Medicare, and private health insurances claims.

· Research and manage a variety of follow-ups, denials, & unpaid insurance claims.

Individuals who are friendly, have the ability to collaborate in a team environment. Individuals with strong telephone and interpersonal skills, excellent customer service skills, professional at all times and have the ability to exercise independent judgement are encouraged to apply.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $37,440.00 per year
