We are hiring a Clinical Pharmacist. (0.6 FTE or 48 hours per pay period). This is a day/evening position with a rotating weekend shift requirement. No on-call requirements!
A Clinical Staff Pharmacist is responsible for the delivery of pharmaceutical care services which maximize outcomes in a manner consistent with the hospital's and department's mission, philosophies, and in accordance with professional practice standards. Fill orders for parenteral and enteral medications, monitors patient drug therapies, and provides drug information to nurses, physicians, patients, patient families, and other healthcare providers. Provides medication reconciliation services and patient/family education for medications. Provides work direction and shift supervision to pharmacy support personnel. May be involved in interdepartmental committees and workgroups that influence medication management throughout Gillette. Other duties may be assigned such as committee leadership, formulary reviews, policy development, order set development, quality data collection and interpretation, MTM (Medication Therapy Management) services. In the absence of the manager, a staff pharmacist may be required to act on such issues as department scheduling/coverage issues, how and if to procure non-formulary drugs, and/or other areas as appropriate based on department needs and expectations.
Compensation and Benefits:
The hourly wage for this opportunity is $59.03 min to $88.53 max, with a median wage of $73.78/hour ($2.50 weekend/$2.75 evening/$4.00 night shift differential is available for this position). Pay is dependent on several factors including relevant work experience, education, certification & licensure, and internal equity. Hourly pay is just one part of the compensation package for employees.
