Gillmann Services, Inc. is hiring Landscape Laborers for work in and around Northeast Columbus!
Must have mowing experience and aclean driving record is preferred.
Monday-Friday 7:30am-4pm with opportunity for overtime!
Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled Landscape Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various aspects of landscaping, from tree trimming, mowing and mulching to hardscape installation. This is a year round job with snow removal and de-icing work in the colder months. If you have a passion for creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, and weeding
- Assist in the installation of hardscape features like patios and walkways
- Trim trees and shrubs to maintain their health and appearance
- Plow snow during winter months to ensure safe access to properties
- Operate and maintain irrigation systems for optimal plant health
- Dig and prepare soil for planting flowers, trees, and shrubs
Experience:
- Previous experience in landscaping or related field preferred
- Knowledge of mechanical equipment used in landscaping tasks
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance techniques
- Experience with snow plowing is a plus
Job Duties and Tasks
-Works cooperatively with other team leads, staff, supervisors/managers, mechanical staff, and company clients as necessary to resolve problems efficiently and effectively
-Required to review and participate in Skills Matrix evaluation(s) to demonstrate their existing and learned skill(s)
-Ensures proper cleaning/clean-up of job sites, yard, trucks, trailers, and shop as necessary
-Always observe appropriate safety practices regarding the usage of all equipment
-Ensures proper preventative maintenance and cleanliness standards for all equipment and vehicles assigned to them/their crew daily, weekly, etc.
-Loads and unloads equipment and debris daily and ensures completeness
-Attends and participates in all scheduled meetings
-Attends and participates in all scheduled trainings
-May work in landscape, landscape maintenance, fertilization, or snow removal divisions as necessary
-Other duties as assigned
