Our delivery driver is responsible for the prompt, secure, and efficient transportation of goods and packages from one location to another. This role plays a crucial part in the supply chain, ensuring that service centers receive their orders accurately and on time, thereby contributing significantly to customer satisfaction and loyalty. Delivery drivers are the face of the company to the customers they serve, embodying the company's commitment to quality and service.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Transporting Goods: Safely transporting goods and packages to and from specified locations within a given time frame. This can include documents, parts, tires, or equipment.
  2. Vehicle Maintenance: Ensuring the vehicle is maintained in good working condition, which may include regular check-ups, cleaning, and immediate reporting of any mechanical problems.
  3. Loading and Unloading: Efficiently loading and unloading goods or packages, ensuring they are securely placed to prevent damage during transport.
  4. Customer Service: Interacting with customers in a professional manner upon delivery, which may include answering questions, verifying deliveries with signatures, and handling payments or paperwork if necessary.
  5. Route Planning: Planning and following the most efficient routes for delivery, taking into account traffic conditions, distance, and delivery times.
  6. Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, including times, routes, and any issues encountered, in compliance with company policies and regulations.
  7. Safety Compliance: Adhering to all traffic laws and regulations to ensure the safe and legal operation of the vehicle. This may also include following company-specific safety protocols.
  8. Problem Resolution: Addressing and resolving any customer issues or concerns that may arise during the delivery process.

Requirements

  1. Valid Driver’s License: Holding a valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type. For larger delivery vehicles, a commercial driver’s license (CDL) may be required.
  2. Clean Driving Record: Having a clean driving record, free of any major violations.
  3. Physical Fitness: Being physically fit enough to load and unload goods, and to sit for extended periods while driving.
  4. Navigation Skills: Being able to navigate efficiently to various locations, which may include using GPS devices or maps.
  5. Customer Service Skills: Possessing strong communication and customer service skills to effectively interact with customers and represent the company positively.
  6. Time Management: Demonstrating excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries and efficient route planning.
  7. Flexibility: Being flexible with working hours, as delivery drivers may be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
