  • THIS PROJECT IS LOCAL TO OKLAHOMA CITY - WILL BE ASSISTING ANOTHER SUPERINTENDENT ON A GROUND UP RESTAURANT CONSTRUCTION PROJECT - THIS WILL BE CONTRACT TO HIRE - WORKDAYS WILL BE SHARED ON A 6 DAY A WEEK PROJECT - THE WORKING DAYS FOR THIS ROLE ARE THURSDAY, FRIDAY, SATURDAY, MONDAY AND TUESDAY. SUNDAYS AND WEDNESDAYS OFF. *******

Travelling Construction Superintendent - CommercialPOSITION : Construction Superintendent – Commercial, Retail, or Restaurant construction projects
SUMMARY:Seeking a Superintendent who will assume overall responsibility of the assigned project site and the daily activities of its contractors while exceeding the expectations of the client, both externally and internally.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED AS PREFERRED:
  • 5 years of experience in the Commercial , Retail, or Restaurant construction industry
  • 2 years of experience as a Superintendent
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • The Project Superintendent shall conduct him/herself in a courteous, knowledgeable, and professional manner through leadership exhibited by one's actions and commitment to the project and also adhering to core values Safety, Merit, Character, Focus, Excellence, and Teamwork
  • The Project Superintendent will be responsible for the overall supervision, coordination, and performance of all project disciplines in accordance with contractual requirements. This includes but not limited to on-site coordination, safety, scheduling, construction quality control, cost management, labor management, equipment procurement and delivery, and on-site client contact.
  • Develops, integrates, and maintains project schedule effectively with other trades
  • Daily coordination of work activities among subcontractors and Company personnel onsite
  • Maintains, tracks, verifies, and updates project files and paperwork (onsite and electronically) including "As Built Drawings," submittal verification/shop drawings, RFI's, layout
  • Conducts job-site safety evaluations
  • Continual observance of construction activities, noting the correctness and the overall quality of the work per the contract documents, and the refusal of sub-standard workmanship
  • Acts as liaison to clients, inspectors, and other visitors to the project
  • Oversees material take-offs/procurement and proactively reviews budgets with Project Manager to determine potential variances
  • Coordinates site logistics, subcontractor meetings, document/coordinate governing inspections
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 15 years of experience in the Commercial ,Retail, or Restaurant construction industry
  • 2 years of experience as a Superintendent
  • Complete understanding of construction documents and specifications for assigned project(s) including all subcontractors' scope of work
  • Responsible and accountable for actions
