JobOverview:Assist Cooks, Bussers and Servers withservice needs. Wash all dishes, pots, pans, service ware and glasswareeffectively while minimizing breakage. Assist with food preparation as directed byManagement. Assist in the maintenance and cleaning of the kitchen, restaurantand bar areas. Machine & Manual Wash all china, glass, pots, pans,utensils, equipment (both portable and stationary) and all floor, wall ceilingand other work surfaces. Maintain a clean, dry, orderly and safe workenvironment.

Essential:

      1. Ability to satisfactorily communicate inEnglish with co-workers and management to their understanding.

Essential Physical Abilities:

  • Endurevarious physical movements throughout the work areas, such as reaching, bendingand stooping.
  • Abilityto stand and/or walk continuously throughout the shift to perform essential jobfunctions.
  • Sufficientmanual dexterity to be able to grasp, load, and carry trays.
  • Abilityto endure repetitive motions for extended periods of time.
  • Abilityto grasp, bend, and stoop; push or pull heavy loads weighing up to 50 lbs.; andlift and/or

carryor otherwise move packages, and boxes.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Maintaincomplete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment, and useequipment

onlyas intended.

  • Maintainknowledge of dishwashing machine and manual systems.
  • Completeall opening/closing side duties as assigned.
  • Organizeassigned stations and ensure readiness prior to staff and guest arrival.
  • Assistin cleaning all areas of kitchen.
  • Maintaina coherent glass, china and silverware organizational system using proper glassracks and other proper storage equipment.
  • Pickup and replace all used pots, pans and other cooking equipment during thecourse of each meal service.
  • Keepthe service line stocked with appropriate plates and serving equipment at alltimes.
  • Usegreat care in handling breakable glass and china.
  • Dryand polish all glassware and plates.
  • Separateand deliver plate ware and glassware to appropriate storage places
  • Monitorand maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station andservice areas.
  • Properly operate all sanitation equipment including but notlimited to: the automatic dish machine, the bar dish machine, glass racks,storage containers, the disposal, the pot sinks, hand sinks, prep sinks, mopbuckets, mops, brooms, dust pans, paper towels dispensers, soap dispensers,trash receptacles, large trash compactors and portable trash containers.
  • Properly use, store and dispose of all soaps, detergents,chemicals, abrasives, bleach, sanitizers.
  • Washsoiled dishes, plates, china, platters, glassware and appropriate small waresin the automatic dish machine.
  • Washand scrub completely all pots, pans and other large pieces in a pot sinkensuring that all pieces are free of and food particles and burnt or baked onfood.
  • Keepall floor surfaces, including rubber mating, clean, dry and free of greaseresidue or buildup at all times.
  • Sweepand mop the entire kitchen floor at least 3 times a day (or as needed becauseof spills, etc.) at the conclusion of lunch and dinner.
  • Maintaincomplete knowledge of and comply with all policies and service procedures.

Secondary Job Functions:

  • Storeall daily deliveries in proper storage areas upon receipt of delivery.
  • Assistother restaurant employees with duties as needed.
  • Maintaincleanliness and appearance of all stations.
  • Followmaintenance program and cleaning schedule.
  • Reportmaintenance needs to Supervisor.
  • Attendmeetings and training sessions as scheduled.
