Giorgios Hospitality Group is Hiring a Graphic Designer Near Durham, NC

Graphic Designer
Job description

Giorgios Hospitality Group is a diverse restaurant hospitality company with many established top restaurants in the Triangle area of North Carolina.

We are currently seeking a Graphic Designer to produce and manage print and digital marketing content and formats across multiple platforms for multiple unique restaurant brands.

Responsibilities

As a part of the Marketing Team, you will primarily be maintaining our restaurants’ printed and digital marketing collateral and will be responsible for the following:

DESIGN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deep understanderstanding and maintenance each brand concept and voice.
  • Complete printed and digital marketing collateral requests, including business cards, promotional materials, ads, signage, digital and print communications, web page layouts, websites, etc. and project manage all requests (build timelines, ensure deadlines are met, etc.)
  • Promotional Design Graphics: Create unique Event Graphics for Facebook, Instagram, Google, website, postcards, and posters for each event
  • Execute graphics and designs following the brand guidelines provided. Ensure all content follows brand guidelines and is built following best practices, keeping each brand consistent, current, and up to date.
  • Create visual concepts to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, and captivate guests and move them to action, and develop the overall layout and production design.
  • Menus: Work with GMs to keep as menus current in print and on website, as ingredients evolve and change seasonally. Update menus for Seasonal Changes, and create new menu designs when needed.
  • Weekly audit on all print materials- ensure that paper/ print quality is consistent with brand and current.
  • Coordinate with Marketing Director to order all items from printer as projects are completed.
  • Website Maintenance: Weekly Website Audit: Oversee that all templates, menus, hours, etc. are current; edit online menus with changes.
  • Assistance with website creation as needed.
  • Update widgets & copy with trends as new services needed.
  • Produce copy as needed for marketing materials.
  • Staying abreast of new media formats and learning how to incorporate them into campaigns.

Marketing Responsibilities

  • Collect, create & manage brand-wide collateral, work cross-departmentally.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and organization of image/asset library (various sizes, file formats, naming, uploading, archiving, etc.
  • Support the Marketing Director in establishing and evaluating the marketing strategy; provide support for new initiatives and projects.
  • Assist in creating monthly marketing reports.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Team to share ideas, brainstorm, contribute to creative concepts and campaigns, and execute deliverables.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of graphic design experience in design, preferably within the context of a restaurant marketing, digital media, or branding department.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Branding or Grapic Design preferred
  • Understanding of the hospitality/ food and beverage industry preferred.
  • Superb design aesthetic.
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Canva, and Google workspace is required.
  • Experience with Project Management software (Asana prefered)
  • Familiarity with the latest trends, technologies, and methodologies in graphic design, web design, video production, social media, etc.Team player with an excellent ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
  • Ability to think strategically and develop creative solutions through design and ideation.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize workload and juggle deadlines/projects.
  • Sense of urgency—works well in high pressure environments and with strict guidelines
  • Attention to detail, speed & accuracy.
  • Adept at proofreading.
  • Aptitude for maintaining composure and communicating creative perspective with colleagues and team leaders.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate and work effectively with a variety of people and personalities
  • Ability to craft recommendations and designs that meet business objectives.
  • Ability to work independently and discern when assistance or supervisor input is necessary.
  • Track all project-related collateral and ensure all needed materials are current and properly filed/stored/ delivered.

Must have the ability to travel among restaurant locations, as needed.
