Title: Membership Recruitment Manager
Reports to: Chief Membership and Strategy Officer
Classification/FLSA Status: Regular, Full Time, Exempt

Position Summary
The Recruitment Manager is responsible for implementing and assessing comprehensive year-round recruitment and membership growth strategies that increase girl and volunteer membership and enhance the retention pipeline. In this role, the Recruitment Manager will develop and foster community partnerships and volunteer involvement while providing a consistent Girl Scout experience to prospective members and the community at large. The Recruitment Manager is also responsible for adult membership growth and increased volunteer recruitment and participation. The Recruitment Manager works collaboratively with other members of council staff to achieve the council's strategic plan, implement the tactical membership growth plan, and meet designated KPIs which cultivate support in the Girl Scout Movement.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
1. Develops, designs, and implements targeted recruitment plans for girl and adult membership growth in designated geographic areas.
2. Conducts a thorough analysis of community needs, demographic data, and membership statistics, to meet area specific goals, KPI’s, and growth targets.
3. Establishes and supports the appropriate volunteer team to accomplish key priorities in recruitment of new members and expand the Council’s reach to new schools, communities, and recruitment partners.
4. Cultivates and maintains relationships with appropriate community leaders, organizations, and businesses to increase visibility of Girl Scouts in the community, including but not limited to local schools, educators, county administrators, faith-based organizations, community leaders, parent organizations, businesses, and other youth serving partner organizations.
5. Provides high quality customer service by optimizing the use of technology, clarifying desired information, researching, locating, and delivering information in a clear and professional manner.
6. Provides supervision and direction to a team of part time and seasonal staff that support local recruitment efforts, events, booths, and meetings.
7. Identifies the need for and provides timely problem solving and conflict resolution support/intervention when appropriate.
8. Exemplifies active participation in the development of environments that foster diversity, equity, inclusion, and access through words, actions, and attitude.
9. Partners across membership, volunteer experience, community development, girl experience and operational departments to ensure a high level of knowledge and understanding to perform core functions of the role at a high level through various seasons in the membership year.
10. Performs other duties as necessary or assigned.
Recommended Skills, Education, and Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher; or equivalent experience with four years of directly related work experience in a membership-based organization or non-profit, sales, volunteer management, relationship management, public speaking, training, or a related field. Two years of managerial experience leading high-performance teams preferred.
• Experience in membership development, recruitment and/or retention and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Experienced in data management using sales/customer management software or CRM; Advanced skills in Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Suite platforms, including Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel, preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; Bi-Lingual Spanish preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Capability to provide own transportation and maintain valid operator license.
• Travel throughout council jurisdiction up to 50% of the time; Able to work primarily on-the-road within an assigned area, with minimal time in a traditional office setting.
