Job Summary

Reporting to the Senior Director, Product Program, this role is responsible for supporting and executing all logistics for the council’s Product Programs, including volunteer training, order entry and submission, inventory, delivery, money collection and customer service. This position is hybrid with 2-3 days in office and the others remote. Employee must reside within the Greater Kansas City Metropolitan area and attend regular in person meetings.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supports and executes the timetables for both the Candy, Nuts & Magazine and Cookie Programs.
  • Develops and supports logistics of marketing materials, program materials and training items for program implementation.
  • Coordinates and delivers volunteer and/or staff training related to the Product Programs.
  • Oversees and/or supervises volunteers supporting the Product Sales Programs.
  • Supports and executes girl award and troop incentive program for Candy, Nuts & Magazines and Cookie Programs.
  • Manages database which includes delivery sites, girl orders, volunteers, etc. and completes the accurate statistical data and reports.
  • Serves as point of contact for general questions and information related to the Product Program in an effort to continue to educate and promote product sales to council staff, troop volunteers, and girl members.
  • Provides positive, timely and supportive customer service to various audiences.
  • May perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Competencies and Areas of Expertise May Include:

  • Principles, practices, and theories of sales and marketing.
  • Basic principles of budgeting and finance.
  • Principles and practices of volunteer recruitment, management, training, and supervision.
  • Researching, compiling, and summarizing a variety of informational and statistical data and materials.
  • Preparing clear and concise reports, correspondence, presentations, and other written materials. 
  • Organizing work, setting priorities, meeting critical deadlines, and following up with a minimum of direction.
  • Computer skills including proficiency in the most current versions of Windows and Office (Word and Excel) and ability to use the internet. 
  • Ability to effectively convey information, thoughts, and ideas in verbal and written form with all levels of the organization. 
  • Ability to work and solve problems independently. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team. 
  • Ability to effectively provide leadership and direction of a group.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.
  • Passion, idealism, integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed leadership style.
  • Two - five years of progressively responsible related experience.
  • Any combination of education, training, and experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Valid Driver License with an acceptable driving record.
  • Employment is dependent upon the results of a criminal background investigation. 

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in a normal office environment with limited exposure to outdoor weather conditions or dirt and dust. Some lifting of 15-20 pounds is required.
