Product Program Manager
Girl Scouts of Western Ohio is seeking a Product Program Manager to join our team!
This role is responsible for leadership and providing all components of daily support for our annual product programs including the Girl Scout Cookie sale and the seasonal Fall Product sale. An ideal candidate will have experience in project management and will be able to handle multiple competing priorities while meeting deadlines. The product programs are launched annually in each of our regions and this role is responsible for managing the logistics, community relationships and volunteer support for troop engagement through the greater Cincinnati area to ensure a successful program that meets council program and revenue goals for an assigned region. This position is also responsible for contributing to the development of council-wide strategies, plans, and specialized projects to support successful implementation of the product programs. Ideal candidates will have experience successfully leading product campaigns, projects and/or special events along with strong data reporting, customer service orientation and project management.
SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
Designs girl engagement strategies while implementing the day-to-day responsibilities for the annual Girl Scout Cookie Program and Fall Product Program within the assigned region to achieve program and financial goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Responsible for designing and implementing strategy and resources to support entrepreneurship and skill building opportunities within the realm of the Fall Product and Girl Scout Cookie Programs.
  • Develop strategies to increase girl engagement and participation in the Fall Product and Girl Scout Cookie Programs.
  • Contribute to the success of the Fall Product Program and Girl Scout Cookie Program through the design, implementation and management of assigned council wide projects to achieve council program and revenue goals;
  • Implementing and managing the Fall Product Program and Girl Scout Cookie Program strategies in assigned region to achieve the revenue goal and provide a quality Girl Scout Leadership Experience;
  • Recruiting and managing volunteers that facilitate the management of the Fall Product Program and Girl Scout Cookie Program;
  • Cultivating key community contacts and developing collaborations to achieve program and financial goals for product programs within the assigned region;
  • Be an integral part of the Product Program team by providing input to the development of an innovative, strategic, tactical and communication plan for the council product programs. While regional management is a key component to the role, overall collaborative work within a team capacity is what will drive successful results for sustainable programs.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but will serve as lead and first point of contact for volunteers.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position. The days of work are primarily Monday through Friday, but evening work is frequent and occasional weekend work may be required. Hours of work will vary, depending on support required by service units and time of year. Work schedules are flexible but will be approximately 40-45 hours/week.
TRAVEL
This is an “in the field” position requiring regular travel to assigned geographic areas of the council.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in the areas of business, marketing or management. Minimum of two years of experience organizing and directing complex multi-faceted functions in marketing, sales and event planning, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Ability to work evening hours and weekends when necessary.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with commitment to contributing to the organizational goals.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
