Givens Estates is looking for a Director of Nursing to direct and oversee our Skilled Nursing facility. The primary purpose of this position is to plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Givens Estates Health Center's nursing department. Reporting to the Health Services Director, this position will assure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
What you'll do:

• Ensure compliance with Nursing Practice Act
• Ensure compliance of Givens Estates Health Center (GEHC) nursing team as applicable according to the North Carolina Board of Nursing
• Ensure 24 hour-a-day/365 day-a-year nursing operations by scheduling staff to provide resident care in accordance with physician's orders
• Monitor staff attendance in accordance with GEHC policy
• Track and post daily staffing statistics in accordance with DHSR requirements
• Participate in the nursing administration on call as needed
• Develop, maintain, and periodically update written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the nursing service department
• Participate in facility surveys made by authorized government agencies
• Ensure that appropriate policies and procedures are followed when providing information to the Nurse Aide Registry
• Monitor, assist, and implement infection control program
• Participate in admissions decisions
• Oversee resident incidents and concerns and promptly report appropriately
• Work with the leadership at all levels to move toward a household model of care, embracing culture change and an interdisciplinary approach to care
• Perform any other duties and/or tasks that may be assigned on an as-needed basis by an authorized supervisor

What you'll need:

• Unencumbered Registered Nursing license in the state of North Carolina
• Three years experience in a supervisory capacity in long-term care
• Must be able to work flexible hours to meet the demands of a 24-hour daily operation
• Must be able to maintain educational credits that are required by the North Carolina Board of Nursing

Compensation is $100k - $110k, per year, based on background & experience, and includes our comprehensive benefits package.
