Summary
The Universal Banker I position has continuous customer contact which includes new business and maintaining customer relationships. This individual performs entry level account maintenance and assists with teller related transactions. Opens and closes accounts, issues certificates of deposits, orders bank debit cards. Responds to customer questions regarding account information, account ownership changes or any other requests. Teller responsibilities include accurately and efficiently processing and recording transactions for bank customers including cashing checks, accepting deposits and withdrawals, and internal transfers.
This position will require working at our Buena Vista location. Applicant must be capable of up to 50% or more to travel (e.g. 2 weeks or 10 days per month) by automobile (as driver and/or passenger). Travel will be necessary to conduct the duties of this job, and the employee must have the ability to drive and have proper licensing.
The starting compensation pay for this position is $22.83 per hour. All compensation offers are analyzed individually and take into consideration multiple factors including but not limited to geographic location, years of experience, and educational background.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to: sit; use hands in repetitive motions to finger, grasp, handle or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to: stand; walk; and lift or reach with hands and arms. The employee may also be required to: Stoop (Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires full motion of the lower extremities and back muscles.) Kneel (Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.) Crouch (Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.)
Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.
Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.

Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.
