Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Commercial Litigation Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial litigation and a proven track record of successfully representing clients in complex legal disputes. The Commercial Litigation Attorney will be responsible for handling a diverse caseload of commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes, business torts, intellectual property disputes, employment litigation, and other commercial disputes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes, business torts, intellectual property disputes, and employment litigation.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to develop effective legal strategies and arguments.
- Draft and review legal documents, including complaints, answers, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and court filings.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, arbitrations, and mediations.
- Advocate for clients' interests and rights in legal proceedings, ensuring fair and favorable outcomes.
- Conduct discovery, including depositions, document production, and witness interviews.
- Collaborate with clients, co-counsel, and expert witnesses to prepare for trial and other legal proceedings.
- Negotiate settlements and alternative dispute resolution agreements when appropriate.
- Stay current on changes in commercial law statutes, regulations, and legal precedents.
- Uphold ethical standards and professional conduct in all aspects of legal practice.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar and license to practice law in the jurisdiction.
- Minimum of [3] years of experience practicing commercial litigation, with a focus on complex civil litigation matters.
- Strong knowledge of commercial law, civil procedure, and litigation strategies.
- Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills.
- Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse caseload and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced legal environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and litigation software.
