Solutions Engineer

We’re looking for a Solutions Engineer who has a proven track record of successful consultative sales in mid-to-large enterprises across financial services, healthcare, retail, and B2B SaaS. The ideal candidate is personable, technical, analytical, and loves selling solutions not products. 

What You'll Do

  • Be the product expert in sales engagements; conduct technical and business outcomes discovery calls with prospects; deliver high-level and in-depth product demonstrations; articulate the “what” and “how” of our products, and; help sales win new business by ensuring our proposed solutions meet the customer’s needs. 
  • Interfaces with customer technical teams to:
    • Gather and assess technical specifications and solution requirements
    • Assist sales in the development of client relationships from a technical perspective
    • Address clients’ questions in a comprehensive manner to ensure customer understanding and buy-in of our solutions
    • Deliver in-depth product demonstrations to prospective clients
    • Evaluate, understand and document prospect’s CX infrastructure (CRM, CCaaS, Chat, CDM, etc.) and backend systems 
  • Work with the customer onboarding team to ensure the success of deployment during the integration and implementation process 
  • Continue to stay informed on the progress of customer onboarding so you can continue consultative sales in the future for land and expand opportunities
  • Responsible to own the completion of RFIs/RFPs requested by prospects

What We'd Like to See

  • B.S. Computer Science or similar degree. Or, equivalent professional experience preferred in a Solutions Architecture, Sales Engineering, or Technical client-facing role within enterprise software environments
  • Must have demonstrable knowledge of the following:
    • Web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, DOM, browser developer tools, etc.)
    • How the Internet works (TCP, DNS, proxies, firewalls, CDNs, etc.)
    • Familiarity with cloud hosting architecture (AWS AZs, load balancing, DR, etc.)
  • Experience within the Call Center or Salesforce.com CRM industry preferred
  • Experience with Salesforce.com administrative setup is advantageous, but not required (installing and configuring packages, etc.)
  • Must be able to present both technical and non-technical topics to individuals at all levels of an organization
  • Comfortable speaking “web”, i.e., HTML, CSS, DOM, Javascript, CDNs, CORS, domains, proxies, firewalls, certs, AWS, etc.
  • Security and privacy compliance (ISO 27001, PCI, HIPAA, etc.) experience a plus
  • Comfortable serving as the technical representative of Glance to personnel at all levels of the customer organization, from developers to executive sponsors
  • Must have exceptionally strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple simultaneous projects of moderate to high levels of complexity
  • Great team player and collaborator
  • Must have the flexibility to travel up to 20% of the time
  • Preferred candidates are in the Eastern or Central time zones
