Full job description

The HR Manager oversees payroll, onboarding, terminations, and benefits administration. Above all, this individual is responsible for promoting a positive and enjoyable work culture and team morale.

Essential Job Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)

The primary duties consist of but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assists with guiding employees through various human resource processes and answering any questions they may have about policies
  • Assist in administering benefits and handling any problems or questions.
  • Assist with recruitment functions such as scheduling on site interviews, updating applicant tracking system and provide reporting on recruiting metrics.
  • Ensure proper time punches and payroll accuracy
  • Administer background checks, complete queries, and assist candidates with new hire paperwork.
  • Conducting or helping with new employee orientation.
  • Processing New Hire and Terminations, including changes for payroll
  • Assist Controller with monthly, quarterly, and yearly projects and audits.
  • Processes and administers all leave of absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability, and FMLA.
  • Responds to unemployment claims and inquiries
  • Ability to manage highly confidential, sensitive information requiring considerable discretion, judgment, and accuracy.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and manufacturer regulations and requirements
  • Assist with disciplinary actions and documentation of employee interactions
  • Promote a positive work environment and bring employee feedback to company leadership to improve operations

Qualifications:

  • Must have excellent computer skills, professional appearance, attention to detail, positive attitude, and excellent communication skills.Must have at least 2 years of experience in Payroll, HR, and BenefitsExperience in Netchex and reporting is a plusResponsible for keeping abreast of Federal and State requirements in the field of HR and labor lawsMaintains confidentiality
