Glaucoma Consultants of Washington is Hiring an Ophthalmic Technician Near Centreville, VA

Looking for a highly motivated individual interested in medical care for patients. This position involves taking patient history, demographics, medications etc. with accurate data input, as well as conducting a variety of glaucoma tests and scans with patients prior to being taken back for the doctor. Includes but not limited to visual acuity, OCT scans, visual field testing, corneal hysteresis etc.

  • Previous ophthalmic technician experience or other medical professional field experience highly valued
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment, quick thinking and dynamic learning style is a must
  • Applicant must have long term availability, be responsible, and be able to multi-task and take initiative. Applicant must be self-motivated, willing to learn. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must to grow and succeed in this role

Locations and Hours

  • Clinics located in Herndon, Centreville and Winchester

----171 Elden St, Suite 100, Herndon, VA 20170

----6101 Redwood Square Centre Suite 214, Centreville, VA 20121

----142 Linden Drive Suite 107, Winchester, VA 22601 (only 2-3 times a month, travel reimbursement)

  • Mon-Fri // 8:00 - 4:30 // 72-80 hours biweekly. Paycheck by direct deposit only.
  • Techs are expected to arrive 10-15 mins early to open clinic and prepare for the day.

COVID-19 POLICY

  • Masks are optional, but required for anyone presenting symptoms of COVID-19, the Flu, RSV etc.

BENEFITS

  • PTO usage after 90 day probationary period
  • Medical insurance provided after successful completion of a 90-day probationary period.
