Title: Regional Sales Executive (Broadband Software)

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

We’re excited to announce an opportunity to join our expanding business Development Team as a Regional Sales Executive. You will play a pivotal role in engaging with small to mid-sized broadband Internet service providers (BSPs). In this position, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our comprehensive ecosystem of solutions. Your efforts will be instrumental in shaping and empowering the next generation of BSPs and supporting their efforts to bring fiber broadband to every corner of the earth. This role involves managing the entire sales process, including presenting to operational and C-level executives and showcasing the value of the GLDS broadband management platform.

As a Business Development Executive, you will be smart, and technology-minded, with a solid work ethic that’s relentless in identifying opportunities, pursuing meaningful industry relationships, and looking for opportunities to solve customer problems using GLDS software and solutions. Expect heavy outreach: phone, email, with online video meetings and software demonstrations. While you will attend industry conferences, most of the sales process is virtual.

What you’ll do

  • Engage BSPs with the goal of understanding their business, their technology infrastructure, and determining whether GLDS can provide value in supporting their broadband business efforts.
  • Discover, research, and cultivate new business opportunities and determine candidacy for GLDS suite of products and services worldwide – narrower industry or geographic focus may be identified in the future.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting to contract execution. GLDS believes all who represent us should know our products thoroughly; no sales engineers here.
  • Maintain and manage a detailed pipeline of opportunities for tracking and reporting purposes and manage the same under the supervision of the Director of Business Development.

What you’ll have

  • Bachelor’s degree in technology, business, or a related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of software/technology sales experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to turn offer rocks, find opportunities, and close deals. Must have complete sales cycle experience from prospecting, to demonstration, to contracting and close.
  • Personable, professional presence and an ability to engage a broad range of individuals.
  • Flexibility: Able to remain open-minded and change opinions based on new information; performs a wide variety of tasks and can change focus quickly as demands change; manages transitions effectively from task; adapt to varying customer needs.
  • Initiative: Self-starter. Able to bring about great results from ordinary circumstances; prepares for problems or opportunities in advance; transforms leads or ideas into productive business outcomes; undertakes additional responsibilities and responds to situations as they arise without supervision.
  • Decision Making: Able to solve problems while exhibiting good judgement and a realistic understanding of issues; uses reasons, even when dealing with emotional topics, reviews facts and weighs options.
  • Communication: Clearly conveys information through a variety of media (verbal, written, e-mail, voicemail, etc.) in a way that engages the audience and helps them understand and remember the message; listens well.
  • Self-Development & Continuous Learning- Stays informed of current industry trends; actively identifies opportunities for learning; learns and applies new concepts to improve job performance; shares information with others on the job; takes responsibility for career development.
