Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Executive Sous Chef to oversee our country club's culinary program. The ideal candidate will have a well-rounded background in various culinary settings, including country clubs, luxury hotels, fine dining, upscale casual, and fast casual establishments. As the second in command to the Executive Chef, the Executive Sous Chef will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service.
Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Executive Chef in all aspects of kitchen management, leadership, and operations.
• Oversee breakfast, lunch, and dinner services, ensuring exceptional quality and presentation.
• Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing training, mentoring, and leadership.
• Ensure proficiency across all kitchen stations, including pantry, grill, broiler, fry, saut, and artisan pizza.
• Develop and execute menus featuring sushi, fresh pasta, and global cuisine, with a strong foundation in classical French cuisine.
• Expedite kitchen service and maintain timely, quality food production.
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu development, inventory management, and cost control.
• Uphold high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and safety in the kitchen.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in country clubs, restaurants, luxury hotels, fine dining, upscale casual, and fast casual environments.
• Solid culinary education and proven leadership experience.
• Expertise in breakfast, lunch, and dinner meal preparation and service.
• Ability to manage and work proficiently across all kitchen stations.
• Excellent communication and team management/leadership skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Flexible availability, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

This is a year round full time position and is expected to average 45-50 hours a week. As such it will qualify for the following benefits:

• Sick and Vacation pay up to 48 and 80 hours a year respectively - accrued based on hours worked.
• Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance for yourself and dependents. Eligibility begins the first of the month 30 days after date of hire. All plans are PPO network based, affordable, and benefit heavy.
• 401k Savings Plan with employer match when age, tenure, and hours eligibility requirements are met.

This position is offered at $83,000 to $89,000 a year DOE and DOQ.
