JOB SUMMARY:
At the direction of the plant manager, quality & CI manager, and production supervisors, This position is responsible for setting a maintenance schedule for all of our machines, as well as setting a cleaning schedule for the entire building. It is very important that the Maintenance Technician knows how to troubleshoot, problem-solve, communicate effectively, and work independently.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Demonstrated knowledge of millwork machinery maintenance, including cleaning and fixing equipment.
• Ability to effectively manage an 80,000 sq ft facility.
• Diagnose and repair general electrical and any other facility issues as they arise.
• Familiarity with general construction and carpentry.
• Ability to work independently and have a proactive approach to solving solutions.
• Punctuality and self-reliance is a must.
• Knowledge of building maintenance processes, including cleaning and scheduling.
• Willingness to work prolonged hours (40 – 50 hour weeks with OT).
• Strong communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School Diploma or GED. Some additional training at technical school is preferred
• Previous quality control & process experience preferred
• Previous experience in a millwork shop, carpentry shop, and/or working knowledge of woodworking
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:
• Must pass pre-employment physical/musculoskeletal exam
• Must pass drug screening
• Must pass an audiogram test
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a daily basis

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
This position operates in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, as well as reach with hands and arms.
The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, the ability to see and differentiate color and to focus.
