Global Atlantic Financial Group is Hiring a Benefits and Wellness Analyst Near Des Moines, IA

Global Atlantic Financial Group is looking for a Benefits and Wellness Analyst to join the Human Resources team. The Benefits and Wellness Analyst will administer employee benefits and wellness programs. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in administering benefits including but not limited to self-funded medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, wellness, leaves of absence, retirement and deferred compensation plans.
  • Assist in developing opportunities to achieve Employer of Choice status.
  • Respond to benefit questions; escalate as needed.
  • Process benefit changes driven by new eligibility, loss of eligibility and qualifying life events.
  • Develop and coordinate benefits and wellness communications for educational and regulatory purposes.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of benefits enrollment, account balances, medical records and other sensitive HR data.
  • Maintain and foster working relationships with insurance carriers, retirement plan recordkeepers, third party administrators, consultants, payroll, HR Business Partners, employee groups, and other stakeholders.
  • May analyze and make recommendations regarding the solution of complex problems related to the design, development, and implementation of benefit plans.
  • Prepare reports related to enrollment, claims, leaves, and expenses.
  • Provide support to employees and managers in evaluating workplace accommodations and administering leaves of absence.
  • Participate in special projects across departmental and functional lines.
  • Assist in the development and administration of policies, procedures and system configuration.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 years of experience working in Human Resources and/or Benefits.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human resources, Business Administration or other applicable degree field
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, working with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; presents self and ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner.
  • Adaptability, effectively responds to change, ambiguity and uncertainty with confidence.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment and across time zones.
  • Appreciation for ever-changing regulatory environment; ability to research.
  • Appreciation for diversity of thought
  • Experience with Benefitsolver a plus.
  • Experience with ADA and FMLA a plus.
  • Experience with non-qualified retirement plans a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office SharePoint a plus.
