Position OverviewThe Workforce Planning Associate will join the Ops Controller Team in the Hartford, CT or Batesville, IN. office and will be responsible for both long-term and short-term planning for back-office teams within Preneed Operations. The candidate must demonstrate excellent analytical skills with the ability to make value-based decisions in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
Primary Responsibilities Of This Role Include
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of capacity/staffing models for Preneed Inforce & New Business. Produce long and short-term forecasts, staffing recommendations, and lead decision making processes with management and leadership.
  • Ownership of daily tactical workload distribution. Balance workload and maintain service level via the efficient and effective allocation of workload.
  • Report on productivity, capacity, bottlenecks and opportunities. Deliver KPIs and metrics to help inform the business on opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain hiring plans to ensure staffing requirements are consistently met; balance attrition expectations with new hire classes.
  • Foster and encourage an environment of continuous improvement. Provide feedback and develop initiatives to improve processes and performance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, and 5 years relevant work experience
  • Experience in Operations is required, Preneed Insurance field a plus
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills are required.
  • Experience with Verint applications is a plus.
  • Comfort in complex problem solving, judgment, critical thinking and decision making.
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with co-workers, management team, other Departments, vendors, and outside agencies, including being sensitive to professional ethics.
  • Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Access (Tableau, VBA, SQL, a plus)
  • Ability and willingness to learn new software applications.
