Essential Functions (including but not limited to):The Operations Driver drives passengers to and from assigned locations. They are further responsible for the safe transportation, loading, and unloading of passengers. Typical route will include administrative buildings on outer perimeter road of the airport, terminals, gate access to the aircraft operating area, and ramp portion of the aircraft operating area.

• Establishes and maintains effective communication and working relationships with passengers, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.
• Transports, loads and unloads passengers, providing daily transportation services at designated pick-up and drop-off locations
• Ensures the safe loading and unloading of passengers, including the safe operation and handling of specialized equipment
• Complies with all safety, security, compliance and safety standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities
• Immediately report any incidents or claims to General Manager and/or Manager on duty
• Refuels and maintains shuttle equipment and maintains assigned fuel use logs
• Communicating with the terminal leadership on deliveries and pickups
• Utilizing flight information and terminal traffic patterns to establish effective driving routes
• Inspecting and maintaining company vehicle in good working order
• Inspects vehicles on a regular basis to find any unsafe conditions or maintenance issues; performs routine cleaning and vehicle maintenance activities
• Inspects shuttle for preexisting damage and record information
• Reporting vehicle mechanical issues promptly to appropriate department for maintenance
• Wearing proper approved uniform attire, including airport ID, and safety vest
• Obeying all rules of the road and yielding to all passenger traffic inside of terminal areas
• Additional duties as assigned
• Listening and speaking to people in person and by cell phone
• Reviewing operational documentation for accuracy and ensuring all paperwork is collected
• Maintain and communicate attendance records for each scheduled shift to operations management

Qualifications/Requirements:

This position requires you to obtain Airport Badging and The Department of Homeland Security requires an extensive background check to obtain badging which include 10-year verifiable background check, including criminal, employment, credit, education, and personal references. Also, must be able to pass a Security Threat Assessment as administered by the Transportation Security Administration

• Upon hire, must provide proof of legal right to work in the United States
• Must be able to pass all initial and recurrent training classes and exams as administered by Global Security and Airport Authority
• Must have access to reliable transportation
• Work independently and make sound decisions based upon limited information
• Ability to operate a vehicle safely in all types of weather in daylight or nighttime conditions
• Ability to work unsupervised and manage one's own time

• Prior driving experience - 2 years

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
• Must meet all requirements to receive required airport SIDA badge and Customs Seal (if applicable), including ten-year work history if available
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and physical
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds

Language Skills: English Proficiency required (reading, writing, and speaking)

Physical/Environmental Requirements:

Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor environments, and involves exposure to noise, chemical, and other contaminants, moving mechanical hazards, and extremes of temperature and weather conditions. Must have sufficient visual acuity, with or without corrective lenses; sufficient auditory ability, with or without audio logical devices; able to tolerate exposure to noise levels up to 120 decibels; capable of being on one’s feet for extended periods of time and lifting 50 pounds unassisted.

Occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Frequent sitting, standing, and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines possibly on uneven terrain.
