OverviewGlobal Filter LLC seeks an Engineering Manager will report to the VP of Operations and will be based in our Cedar Rapids, Iowa office. The Engineering Manager is required to travel <5% of the time to customer sites throughout North America. A Master’s degree in Indust. Eng. Or Mfg. Eng. 2 y. exp. as Mfg. Engineer in process filtration industry is required.

Responsibilities
- Solve problems related to equipment, tooling, process, quality, and document problem-solving efforts. (12%)
- Drive engineering projects by leading the engineering team to help the organization reduce costs, improve productivity, product quality, and process improvement with a strong emphasis in Lean Manufacturing (8%)
- Oversees the development, deployment and sustainment of lean manufacturing engineering processes and procedures. (8%)
- Provide technical inputs to marketing and sales team for new business and facilitate successful outcomes (8%)
- Support engineering product changes & launches by leading activities associated with developing robust manufacturing processes and training plans (6%)
- Ability to take a product from ideation and engineering drawings to commercial viability (6%)
- Support production by helping troubleshoot equipment and process issues (6%)
- Influence and motivate individuals or groups working towards mutual goals (6%)
- Manage a team of Manufacturing Engineers who provide engineering expertise to internal and external stakeholders to assess, design, and engineer optimal equipment solutions (6%)
- Build and deliver various continuing education coursework and trainings covering the topics of quality assurance, engineering, 5S, and other lean manufacturing initiatives (4%)
- Manage strategic project initiatives by keeping efforts on schedule and ensuring that progress aligns with the goals of both the business and our customers (4%)
- Ensure accuracy of manufacturing engineering procedures and documentation (4%)
- Provide leadership and guidance to assure corrective actions are resolved, adequate root cause analysis is completed and short/or long-term corrective actions are implemented (4%)
- Lead a team of manufacturing engineers in a fast-paced environment while enhancing a culture that inspires positive employee engagement (4%)
- Evaluate new materials, processes and procedures to enhance and improve existing product lines (2%)
- Responsible for the development of equipment to aid the manufacturing process and facility (2%)
- Support the engineering and production teams through hands-on involvement on production floor focusing on overall process and product improvements (2%)
- Assist with the development and implementation of key performance indicators for each area of responsibility (2%)
- Develop and maintain project plans and budget profiles to ensure delivery of milestones to agreed cost targets and timescales (2%)
- Master’s Degree in Indust. Eng. or Mfg. Eng. 2 y. exp. as Mfg. Engineer in process filtration industry is required
- Solidworks – 2 yrs. of experience is required
- Draftsight – 2 yrs. of experience is required
- AutoCAD – 2 yrs. of experience is required
- Ansys – 2 years of experience is required
- Diffusion Tester – 2 years of experience is required
- Integrated Testing Machine – 2 years of experience is required
- Turbidimetric Efficiency Tester – 2 years of experience is required
- Differential Pressure Tester – 2 years of experience is required
- Collapse Tester – 2 years of experience is required
