Objective:

The Philanthropy Intern will assist in the philanthropy aspects of the TPFF organization's annual gala, focusing on donor cultivation and stewardship, database management, collaboration with internal teams, and grant writing and management to support event funding.

Key Responsibilities:

Donor Cultivation and Stewardship:

▪ Assist in identifying and researching potential gala sponsors, donors, and attendees.

▪ Support the development and implementation of strategies to cultivate and steward relationships with donors, including personalized communication and acknowledgment efforts.

▪ Help coordinate donor meetings, cultivation events, and stewardship activities related to the gala.

Database Management:

▪ Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records in the organization's database, specifically focusing on gala-related contacts.

▪ Track donor interactions, contributions, event registrations, and other relevant data.

▪ Generate reports and analysis to support decision-making and strategy development for the gala.

Collaboration and Teamwork:

▪ Work closely with the gala planning committee and other internal teams toensure alignment with fundraising goals and event objectives.

▪ Assist the marketing and communications team in developing promotional materials, sponsorship packages, and event messaging.

▪ Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate recording and reporting of gala-related donations and expenses.

Grant Writing and Management:

▪ Research grant opportunities specifically for event funding or sponsorship.

▪ Assist in preparing grant proposals and applications targeting organizations or foundations interested in supporting events like the annual gala.

▪ Help manage the grant application process, including submission, tracking, and reporting requirements.

Qualifications:

▪ Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., nonprofit management, fundraising, communications) or recent graduate.

▪ Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.

▪ Excellent writing and research abilities.

▪ Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.

▪ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

▪ Proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn donor management software.

▪ Commitment to the mission and values of the organization.

Internship Terms:

▪ The Philanthropy Intern will work remotely and be available for regular check-ins and meetings as needed.

▪ This is an unpaid internship, but academic credit may be available based on the intern's educational institution's requirements.

▪ The internship will be for a duration of 6 months, focused specifically on assisting with the philanthropy aspects of the annual gala.
