Senior Data Scientist

Location: St. Louis, MO

Duration: Long Term

Education: PhD required

Pref Local Candidate

Technical Skills:

· Proficiency in AWS components, particularly Sage Maker

· Strong programming skills in Python with expertise in libraries such as Sci-kit, Pandas, and NumPy

· Experience with SQL for data manipulation and querying

· Expertise in classification, regression, and recommendation engine algorithms

· Good understanding of MLOps principles and practices

· Preferred experience in building dashboards and reports for business consumption

· Ability to perform ad-hoc analysis to extract insights from data

Business Facing Skills:

· Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

· Demonstrated capability to translate technical work into easy-to-understand business-facing documents and presentations

Responsibilities:

· Develop and deploy machine learning models using AWS Sage Maker and other relevant tools

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data science solutions

· Conduct exploratory data analysis and feature engineering to derive actionable insights from large datasets

· Build, validate, and optimize machine learning models for classification, regression, and recommendation tasks

· Implement MLOps practices to ensure scalability, reliability, and reproducibility of machine learning workflows

· Create interactive dashboards and reports to visualize key performance metrics and facilitate decision-making processes

· Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders through presentations, reports, and documentation

· Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in data science, machine learning, and cloud computing

Qualifications:

· PhD in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field

· Proven track record of applying machine learning techniques to real-world problems and delivering business value

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

· Experience working in an Agile environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams

· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
