Global Payments is Hiring a Database Administrator Near Jacksonville, FL
- Manage SQL Server databases
- Proven experience as an SQL Developer or Database Developer, working with complex databases.
- Configure and maintain database servers and processes
- Monitor system's health and performance
- Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability, and security
- Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time
- Provide suggestions for solutions
- Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
- Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement
- Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems
- Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours
- Participate within and enrich the team and company culture
- Experience with AWS or other cloud computing providers
- Proven experience as an SQL Developer or Database Developer, working with complex databases.
- MongoDB administration
- Postgres DB; mysql administration
- Experience with continuous deployment in a high availability environment
- Windows and MSSQL system administration
- Understanding of networking concepts
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT, computer science or related field is preferred (work experience may be used in place of a degree)
- An ongoing thirst for new knowledge, ideas, and a passion for success
- Experience working with distributed teams
- Creative problem-solving, proficient debugging and profiling
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
