Job Overview :

We need a Dump Truck Driver for our construction team. In this position, you drive your truck to a pick-up site, load the proper materials, and drop it off at the construction site.

While you may not be actively involved in loading and unloading your truck, you should be physically capable of assisting in all tasks.

In addition to your hauling duties, you must inspect your truck for any damage or general mechanical issues. You should have some experience in the trucking industry, whether hauling loads across the country or transporting asphalt mix a short distance.

You also need a CDL A license.

Responsibilities and Duties :

• Transporting crushed rock, sand, gravel, salt, broken concrete, debris, asphalt, etc. to and from specified locations.
• Verifying the types of materials being transported and ensuring that they do not exceed weight restrictions.
• Ensure materials are loaded correctly onto the dump truck.
• Inspecting the dump truck before and after every trip or as required by management, which includes checking the oil, gas, and water levels as well as the lights and tires.
• Promptly reporting any accidents, injuries, or mechanical faults to management and or the appropriate authority.
• Complies with all aspects of truck maintenance, cleanliness, and repair in accordance with the guidelines specified in the Truck Driver's Handbook.
• Communicates regularly with dispatcher to ensure that delivery schedule is being followed and that any problems with traffic or with site conditions are reported promptly.
• Maintain accurate driver logs. Complying with all safety rules and regulations.
• Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned

Qualifications :

• Valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate must pass DOT physical.
• Good Driving Record for insurance eligibility.
• Proven experience operating a standard dump truck.
• Working knowledge of construction site safety, truck maintenance, and road safety regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills and Effective communication skills.
• Job Type : *90 day temp to permanent position.

Expected Hours : Full time positions are available. Work hours are Monday through Sunday 9 AM to 6 PM. Overtime is available with some Saturdays.
