Global Pharma Tek is Hiring an Underwriting Analyst Near Woonsocket, RI
Performs underwriting analysis, risk assessment for new and/or renewal of small or large group contracts.
Assigned cases/book of business may be limited to a single (or minimal number of) products, financial arrangements and/or rating methodologies.
Prepares and delivers new business quotes and/or existing business renewals.
Reviews work with mentor/manager and respond to requests for pricing based on financial analysis, underwriting principals and business strategy.
Prior experience in underwriting/accounting concepts, pricing methodologies and/or funding arrangements.

- Demonstrated success in collaborating with others to meet/exceed expectations
- Experience providing clear and concise written and verbal communications
- Critical thinking, detail oriented and strong analytical skills
- Desire to learn
- Collaborate with internal partners such as Actuarial and Sales
Applies underwriting guidelines and escalates underwriting exceptions/financial variances for assigned cases to the appropriate level.
Assists sales personnel in explaining rate/fee, accounting balance development, and communicating underwriting policy.
Produces timely and accurate customer-specific documents, deliverables, and accounting related information.
Assists Customer with projects or workgroups; identifies and supports process improvement through automation or process change.
Qualifications1-2 years work experience
Demonstrated success prioritizing work and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to utilize analytical and independent thinking skills.
Demonstrated success in collaborating with others to meet/exceed expectations.
Experience providing clear and concise written and verbal communications.
Experience working with standard Microsoft Office products.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
