Controller - Global Point Technology Group (GPTG) LaVergne, TNThe Controller is responsible for accounting and finance functions for all companies within Global Point Technology Group. This position reports to the CFO.
Job Responsibility Summary
Education/Licensure/Credentials Required: B.S. degree in accounting or related
Preferred: CPA
ExperienceRequired: 7-9 years accounting experience, Supervisory Experience
Preferred: Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting and multi-company environment
Special Knowledge/SkillsRequired: Ability to maintain confidential information, Strong organizational skills, Excellent attention to detail, Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred: Software: Excel, Word, Infor Visual, Epicor

Job Responsibility Summary
- Manage closing process for GPTG including preparation of monthly financial statements
- Prepare budget and forecasts for GPTG
- Ensure accurate inventory reporting and controls (including standard costing system)
- Consolidate and integrate acquired companies to single reporting entity
- Manage GPTG accounting resources (internal and external)
- Coordinate GPTG audit and tax reporting with external auditors
- Support other staff management as assigned
- Complies with all safety policies, practices, and procedures; report all unsafe activity to supervisor or Human Resources Manager
- Participates in team activities to achieve departmental and company goals
- Performs other duties as assigned
