Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as the Director, Election Production and Testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing important aspects of election system performance, including process engineering/design, election database creation, quality assurance, people leadership, and technology management. A strong understanding of election processes, coupled with excellent customer empathy and interaction skills, is essential for success in this role. The Director, Election Production and Testing will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of election processes and will be a key contributor to the success of our organization.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with directors, managers, and other stakeholders in the development of success metrics and achieving customer satisfaction.
  • Design implement, and optimize election processes to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead a team of election operations professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure high performance and professional development.
  • Utilize expertise in election processes and regulations to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and customers to understand their needs and address concerns effectively.
  • Evaluate, implement, and manage technology solutions to enhance election operations, improve efficiency, and mitigate risks.
  • Quickly grasp complex election processes and regulations, staying updated on industry trends and best practices.
  • Thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, effectively managing competing priorities and deadlines to deliver results on time.
  • Demonstrate resilience and adaptability in the face of uncertainty, effectively navigating ambiguity to make informed decisions and drive progress.
  • Maximize efficiency and productivity through extensive process analysis and interdepartmental collaboration.
  • Set strategic goals for operational efficiency and increased productivity.
  • Work with project managers and local teams in the development of customer deliverables.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 15 years of experience with technology business operations, customer service, project management, P&L management, and people management.
  • 10 years’ experience managing and leading technical staff, deploying creative and strategic approaches, and supporting external customers with technical projects.
  • 5 years of Elections industry experience preferred, but not required.
  • Masterful organizational, communication, and leadership skills, backed by previous professional success.
  • Proven experience in election operations, process design, and people leadership.
  • Strong understanding of election processes, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on customer empathy and interaction.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Experience in technology leadership and implementation, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and make informed decisions.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

Physical Demands:

Prolonged activity occurs while sitting at a desk at the computer/phone. There may be intermittent physical activity including walking and standing.

Working Environment:

This position is typically in an office environment with ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in an office environment.

The expected salary range for this position is $120,000 - $140,000. This placement is dependent upon alignment with the role. This role is eligible for full benefits, listed in the job description, that will also be gone over during your initial recruiter conversation.
