If you are a passionate individual that can lead people and processes to contribute to our safety culture .we should talk.This role is located in a western suburb of the Twin CitiesJOB DESCRIPTIONSummary:This is an individual contributor role that will contribute and be responsible for supporting and fostering the safety culture, safety and environmental compliance of our facilities.Contribute to a CAN DO, WILL DO, TEAM WIN culture be the glass half full person . bring solutions when there are problems .Assign and track all EHS activities, corrective action plans and tasks to completion and update as needed; maintain appropriate documentation.Assess facility programs against performance standards and develop corrective action plans to close gaps.Manage leading indicator efforts including safe work observation process, 5S, hazard recognition and controls.Lead and maintain Contractor safety effort; assist in development of contractor work plans and monitor compliance.Manage energy control, hearing conservation and chemical management programs.Participate in required internal and external EHS audits and inspections; coordinate and review results to ensure deficiency correction.Participate and support an active cross functional safety committee.Oversee programs to reduce carbon footprint and achieve network sustainability goals (may include energy usage, waste management, solar power initiatives, etc.)Maintain files, environmental permits, inspections, certifications, and submissions (VOC, wastewater, storm water, cyclone, silo, Tier II, DMR's, Air, etc.)Lead deliberate improvement efforts to improve EHS performance.Work with leadership team to develop and implement company-specific annual objectives for EHS.Education and ExperiencesBachelor s degree specializing in occupational safety, environment, engineering, or related field preferred.Minimum 5 years related experience.An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA laws and regulations.Knowledge of Ecovadis and ISO 45001 and prior implementation is a plus.Demonstrated experience leading projects and oversight of corporate programs.Capable of interaction at all levels of the organization.
