Responsible for driving weld Safety Qualityand Effectivity. Conduct random visual inspections to monitor weldquality. Provide weld technical support to shop and aid inimproving the coordination and collaboration between hourly andsalary associates Teams and departments.
ESSENTIALDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Followwelding / inspection procedures.
2. Conduct randominspections to verify weld quality.
3. Provide weldtechnical support for shop Purchasing Operations andEngineering.
4. Maintain routings and B.O.Ms.
5.Train Welders as required on accepted quality criteria bestpractices weld technique and equipment and process parameters inrelation to WPSs.
6. Set up tooling as required forprocess.
7. Assist with operator PMs.
8. Practiceand facilitate Continuous Improvement.
9. Provide drawing& weld symbol interpretation.
11. Usedesign failure mode effects analysis to develop process modefailure effect analysis.
12. Champion problem solving inweld using OOS problem solving tools (8D Fishbone Diagrams 5 Whysetc).
13. Apply the Weld Control Plan to daily production.Utilize SPC to setup proper process parameters addressing MethodMaterial Machine and Man failure modes.
14. Conduct weldLPAs.
BASICQUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma HSED orGED
3 years related work experience
AWSCertified Weld Inspector
PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS
Associates degree inWelding Technology or Industrial Welding or IE / ME degree with CWIaccreditation
