Overview :
GST LLC is seeking a Full-Time (with benefits) Mid-Level Artificial Intelligence Engineer with a minimum of s BS and 5 years' work experience to serve as a Government-Contractor Pivot Point, providing direct support to Federal Teams evaluating Advanced Technologies for Aviation Security within the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA). The selected candidates will work alongside senior Federal directors, branch managers, project managers, and engineers within established teams on a full-time contract basis providing analysis, insights, and assessments of AI methods for integration with current and future security screening systems.
We are seeking candidates in the DC, Maryland and Virginia area (DMV) who are able to attend meetings at TSA HQ or the TSA Integration Lab on the Reagan/National Airport premises several days a month. Remote work is otherwise authorized.
Responsibilities :

• Provide advisory and work-product analysis directly supporting senior Federal officials and engineers.
• Assess and evaluate AI technologies in the field of aviation security, focusing on disciplines including Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, and Predictive Analytics.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and integrate AI solutions for Automated Threat Recognition (ATR) Systems, Object Detection and Recognition, Threat Prediction, Risk Assessment, and Behavioral Analytics.
• Participate in the assessment of integrating AI technologies with automated baggage handling systems to enhance operational efficiency and security screening processes.
• Participate in the assessment and development of approaches integrating various AI methods within an Open-Architecture environment.
• Participate in the development of Guidance for the use of AI in Federal systems.

Requirements
Requirements :

• Minimum BS, optimal MA, PE, or PhD in computer engineering, software, or related fields from an accredited College or University.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Artificial Intelligence, with experience working directly with clients in an advisory or work-product role.
• Proficiency in technical computing software products such as MatLab, Python with NumPy, SciPy, and Matplotlib, or SAS.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Familiarity with best practices processes including Software Engineering and Development, DevSecOps, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), and Cybersecurity methods and processes.
• Domain knowledge and problem-solving skills in Transportation Security or a willingness to learn quickly.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills with a focus on clear and effective writing and presentation.

Additional Requirements :

• U.S. Citizenship.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Government SECRET clearance.
• Residence in (or willing to relocate to) the Washington D.C. Metro area (D.C., Maryland, VA)
• Willingness to travel outside the D.C. Metro area, potentially internationally.
• Availability to attend meetings at TSA Headquarters or their Integration Lab on the Reagan/National Airport premises several days a month. Remote work is otherwise authorized.
