Job Description
As part of a small, passionate, and accomplished team of experts, you will perform hands-on assembly and maintenance of cutting-edge rocket engine turbomachinery.
You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of Turbopump assembly, disassembly, testing, and tool/fixture design.
Integration Engineering Technician will also provide critical feedback to make improvements with respect to process control, capability, and repeatability.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Precision assembly of rocket engines
Detailed component inspection using calipers, micrometers, etc. to tolerances of 0.0001”
The Integration Engineering Technician will be coordinating hardware processing such as inspection, cleaning, and shipping
Hardware management under critical cleanliness requirements (liquid oxygen service)
Safely working with hazardous systems, containing chemicals and/or high-pressure
Assist engineers in reviewing design concepts, providing feedback for improvements
Familiarity working with assembly fixture tooling
The Integration Engineering Technician will review and follow work instructions for complex mechanical installations
Innovate to improve processes and increase the efficiency of operations

Minimum Qualifications
3 years of experience with the assembly of turbomachinery/propulsion systems, aircraft or automotive engines, or other highly technical machinery.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
Ability to read and understand technical manuals/detailed work instructions.
Strong mechanical competence with the ability to use hand and power tools.
Ability to accurately use precision measurement and inspection tools
Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Physical Requirements:
Climb ladders & stairs and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. for limited durations of time.
Preferred Qualifications
5 years' experience in propulsion assembly, integration, and testing.
Associate degree in a technical field.
Knowledge of precision inspection equipment.
Experience with critical sealing surface requirements.
Experience with thread inserts installation and thread tapping tools.
A&P license or equivalent experience in integration and testing of propulsion systems.
Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as overhead cranes and forklifts on flight hardware.
Experience with 3D measurement tools, such as Faro Arms/Trackers and Verisurf software.
Knowledge in the use of 3D CAD tools (CREO is preferred), and ability to read and interpret GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994 standard.
