Job Duties: Analyze quality process maps and identify potential improvements. Act as a liaison by enhancing applications of SPC and PSO to improve all operations (manufacturing and assembly) processes. Support appropriate and effective training to all engaged personnel regarding implemented process changes across all operational boundaries. Prepare reports for noncompliance, nonconformance, and corrective actions for management. Work in a matrix organizational environment with local Quality Management and Austrian Quality Management to achieve the highest levels of process and team synergy. Maintain up-to-date knowledge and expertise through active participation in ongoing education and training measures. Develop and control the respective budgets for his area of responsibility. Ensure all quality control activities are done according to control plans and customer specifications. Act as Process Owner of “handling of non-conforming parts” in the department of surface treatment, including moderation of problem-solving workshops using tools like 8D, Ishikawa, 5W, PDCA and KVP. Ensure compliance with ISO-, OSHA-, and Environmental Protection regulations and ensure highest safety standards in his area of responsibility. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of his area of responsibility through continuing education measures. Contribute to ongoing quality development and increasing competitiveness independently and/or in conjunction with superiors. Performs corresponding duties in his area of responsibility and beyond; and regularly follows up and reports to superiors about progress made. Follows through with customer complaints and keeps senior management informed. Maintains consistent follow-ups on ongoing projects and process changes, and communicates updates accordingly.
Requirements: 30 months of experience in the job offered or in a position involving design engineering for firearms research and development. Experience must include development of carbine rifles with gas-operated reloading, including sub-assembly components; evaluating and interpreting carbine rifle testing results, including materials suitability testing; demonstrated knowledge of GLOCK firearms as evidenced by prior completion of GLOCK Advanced Armorer’s Course.
