GLS North America is Hiring an Automotive Painter Near Romulus, MI
Global Logistics Services is seeking a highly experienced show car painter for a role in our high-end Specialty Vehicle shop. As a leader in the industry, GLS works with the largest automotive original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), providing such services as show, event, and advertising vehicle prep, event staging and on-site tech support, vehicle management and transportation.
This position requires selected candidates to prepare and paint vehicles and components. Previous auto mechanical and/or auto body repair experience is a plus. We offer a competitive pay, full benefits, 401k Retirement Plans, and more!
Primary Duties
- Paint prototype, specialty, and pre-production vehicles
- Dent repair
- Prep for paint
- Match existing orange peel
- Color blending and match
- Spies Hecker waterborne
- Sand and polish
- Block sanding
- Solve alignment and fitment issues
Requirements
- Successful candidates must be experienced, career minded, and highly motivated team players
- ICAR or ASE certified preferred
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Clean background record
- Verifiable work history
- State Certifications a plus
